The Florence tramway network consists of two highly efficient lines (T1 and T2) connecting the outer suburbs, the international airport, and the highway parking hub directly to the heart of the historic city center.
Line T1: Leonardo
Route: Villa Costanza (A1 Parking Hub) ↔ Careggi Hospital
- Villa Costanza: Direct connection to the A1 Motorway parking lot (ideal for day-trippers arriving by car).
- Alamanni - Stazione: ๐ Main Interchange Stop / Located directly outside Santa Maria Novella Train Station (West side).
- Valfonda - Stazione: ๐ Interchange Stop / Located on the East side of the Main Train Station.
- Fortezza: ๐ Interchange Stop / Serving the Fortezza da Basso Exhibition Center.
Line T2: Vespucci
Route: Peretola Airport ↔ San Marco (City Center Terminal)
- Peretola Aeroporto: Terminal located directly outside the Florence Airport Arrivals hall.
- San Marco: The current City Center terminal, situated within walking distance of the Accademia Gallery (Michelangelo's David) and the Duomo.

The tramway runs 365 days a year, providing reliable and continuous service from early morning until late at night. On weekend nights (Friday and Saturday), the service is conveniently extended to support the city's nightlife and travelers.

Average Waiting Times: During peak daytime hours, trams run frequently with a headway of approximately 4 to 6 minutes. Early morning, late evening, and holiday frequencies vary between 9 and 15 minutes.
Changing between Line T1 and Line T2 is completely free (within your ticket's 90-minute validity) and very simple. You can hop off one tram and board the other at any of these three consecutive shared stations: Alamanni, Valfonda, or Fortezza.
